阿莉 - Student Story

Recently, CCACC has held several classes designed to help seniors learn to use technology (ex. Zoom, smartphone). These classes are led by Joy Wang and taught by youth volunteers. What amazes me is their patience in teaching us, and the amount of time they spent preparing for the class that is reflected in the powerpoints and class material. While many of these things are intuitive to the youth, as seniors, we need to learn things step by step and often times with the instructions repeated multiple times; it definitely takes a lot of patience to work with us. I've learned many things from these classes including how to use WeChat, sending group messages, editing my profile, sharing YouTube videos, online shopping and so much more. These skills are especially useful during this pandemic. I am very grateful for these classes and would like to thank CCACC and the 7 young teachers. Thank you for your patient teaching and guidance, answering my questions and helping me learn.
