4.24.2024 AAPI Heritage Month Celebration

Let us celebrate and honor Asian cultures and their heritage in May as part of a nation-wide celebration. The event is free to the public with cultural performances and Asian food samplings.

Come join us for the first ever Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month celebration to be held in Charles County!  The goal of this event is to promote and recognize the AAPI community, and to encourage diversity and awareness of Asian cultures and their heritage.  Through this celebration, we hope to strengthen connections and encourage leadership within the Southern Maryland AAPI communities.  

The event will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the grounds of Port Tobacco Players Theater, 508 Charles Street, La Plata, MD  20646 from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.  The program will include music, cultural dance and performances, and food samplings.
