CCACC Health Center is pleased to announce a one-hour "Stop the Bleed" training course scheduled for April 18th (Thursday) at 1:00 PM in suite 205 at Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC). We encourage interested citizens to actively enroll in this course to enhance their emergency bleeding control skills.

Bleeding is a primary life-threatening risk following injuries, and swift bleeding control can be crucial in saving lives. The "Stop the Bleed" program is a vital course designed to teach individuals how to effectively control bleeding. The course aims to raise public awareness of bleeding control skills to address sudden situations such as accidents or natural disasters.

"STOP the Bleed" comprises three main steps (ABC):

  1. A (Alert):  Early warning, call emergency hotline immediately, report the condition of the injured, and request assistance.
  2. B (Bleeding): Bleeding control. Assess the bleeding situation of the injured person, quickly locate the source, and take appropriate steps to stop the bleeding.
  3. C (Compress): Compress. Use a compressive device such as a tourniquet or clothing to apply pressure to the bleeding location to minimize blood loss.
