All are welcome! Join us on Saturday, October 23, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm for Community Day at the Chinese American Museum DC! A day of entertainment surrounded by the colors and drama of new exhibition Golden Threads: Chinese Opera in America. Experience the art form of Chinese opera with live musical, theatrical, and makeup demonstrations. A fun filled day for all ages.

Event Schedule:
10:00 am - 4:00 pm: Museum Open!
10:00 am – 2:00 pm: Chinese Opera Mask Painting (for kids and kids at heart)

Morning:
10:30 am: Chinese Opera Makeup Demonstration (DC Beauty of Beijing Opera)

Afternoon:
12:30 pm: Chinese Opera Makeup Demonstration (DC Beauty of Beijing Opera)
1:30 pm: Chinese Opera Theatrical Demonstration (Chinese Opera Society of Washington DC)
3:00 pm: Exploring Chinese Opera in America (a panel discussion)
