To enrich community cultural life and provide members with a platform to showcase their talents and connect with one another, the CCACC Community Service Center, in collaboration with the Information Technology (IT) Department, hosted a Karaoke & Talent Showcase on the afternoon of July 15, 2026, at the CCACC Art Gallery. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from community members and created a joyful and welcoming atmosphere.
This event also served as the pilot program following the launch of the IT Department's professional audiovisual event support services. In addition to offering participants an opportunity to perform and enjoy music, the event showcased the high-quality sound system and professional audio/video recording capabilities of CCACC's newly installed audiovisual equipment. Each performer received a lasting digital record of their performance through professional recording and video production.
The program featured a variety of performances celebrating music and artistic expression. Liu Ranying performed the beloved Chinese classic "How Can I Keep from Thinking of You" (教我如何不想他). Liu Qiang brought nostalgic memories to life with "Grandma's Penghu Bay" (外婆的澎湖湾). Zhou Yun performed "The Prairie in July" (七月的草原), capturing the vast and lyrical beauty of the grasslands. The Evergreen Chorus delighted the audience with "Drizzle in March" (三月里的小雨), combining harmonious singing with lively choreography that earned warm applause. Zhang Xiufa presented a unique instrumental performance of "Bang Chhun Hong (望春风 / Longing for the Spring Breeze)" on the electronic wind instrument, demonstrating both musical artistry and technical skill. Wu Jie performed the timeless favorite "May We All Be Blessed with Longevity" (但愿人长久), while Li Mingju concluded the afternoon with the heartfelt song "Luojia in My Heart" (心上的罗加), bringing the event to a warm and memorable close.
Throughout the event, CCACC's newly established professional audiovisual system was fully utilized. The IT team provided comprehensive technical support, including sound reinforcement, microphone management, live audio mixing, audio recording, and video production. Their expertise enabled every performer to present their best while providing the audience with an exceptional audiovisual experience.
The success of this event was made possible through the longstanding support and professional guidance of Roger Xu, current CCACC Board Director and IT Advisor. Under his mentorship, IT Manager Kevin Xing, together with team members Xavier Hsu and Jason Shen, has continued to enhance CCACC's technology services and strengthen support for community programs.
In recent years, the CCACC Information Technology team has developed a comprehensive professional audiovisual event support system capable of providing sound equipment, wireless microphone systems, live audio engineering, audio and video recording, and on-site technical support. These services are well suited for community events, lectures, cultural performances, conferences, and celebrations of all sizes.
The Karaoke & Talent Showcase received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants. Beyond providing an enjoyable afternoon of music and fellowship, the event successfully demonstrated the capabilities of CCACC's professional audiovisual services. Looking ahead, the Community Service Center will continue to organize a diverse range of cultural and artistic programs, bringing community members together through music, the arts, and meaningful shared experiences while fostering a vibrant and welcoming community.
