The 2026 Lunar New Year Celebration of the CCACC Evergreen Club was held on February 25, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Germantown Community Center. Due to time constraints, a total of 16 performances were presented during the event. Each class and team took the stage under the careful guidance and dedicated rehearsal of their instructors and members, delivering their performances with full engagement and charm.

Notably, two representatives from the Montgomery County Senior Nutrition Program, Ms. Katarzyna Ramos and Ms. LaQuentta Freeman, attended the event. Both were deeply impressed by the enthusiasm and outstanding performances of the Evergreen Club members.

Cultural and Artistic Performances

The event featured a rich variety of cultural and artistic performances. Dance segments included classical dance, umbrella dance, square dance, ballroom dance, water sleeve dance, physical expression dance, martial arts fan dance, Tibetan dance, and social dance. Vocal performances included large group choral singing, traditional Yue Opera, and male vocal ensembles. Other segments included poetry recitation and fashion shows. The venue was filled with a lively and festive atmosphere, celebrating the Lunar New Year.

Annual Summary

Looking back on 2025, Ms. Chiao-Chiao Liu (Director of CCACC Community Services) presented the annual summary. Over the past two years, the CCACC Evergreen Club had experienced strong growth, with membership steadily exceeding 1,000. The club offered a wide range of courses and activities, including classical dance, ethnic dance, square dance, line dance, social dance, modeling classes, health-oriented martial arts, Tai Chi, Tai Chi sword, martial arts fan, Yue Opera, two choral groups, four piano classes, electronic keyboard class, Chinese painting, music theory on staff notation, recitation class, English class, and computer class. In addition, the club hosted lectures on traditional Chinese medicine meridians, as well as over 20 recreational activities, such as mahjong, Chinese chess, playing cards, table tennis, and fitness equipment exercises.

Currently, the Evergreen Club relied on over forty volunteer instructors and more than thirty volunteers, who consistently dedicated their time and energy to serve this warm community. Combined with the Montgomery County Senior Nutrition Program, which provides nutritious lunches for older adults, participation in various activities continued to increase each year. Members not only enjoyed physical activity and social interaction, but also strengthened friendships, improved physical and mental well-being, and enhanced their overall quality of life.

CCACC Community Services also actively collaborated with relevant departments to organize regular lectures on healthcare, insurance, finance, and other practical topics, providing members with valuable information and professional guidance. In 2025, additional community services were introduced, including free tax preparation, haircuts for members, and monthly distribution of fresh agricultural products.
