CCACC Academy's free parent-child preschool experience program, "My Playhouse," has successfully completed two vibrant sessions since its launch. Each session reached full capacity with enthusiastic registrations, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from both parents and children.

Session One: Chinese Story time (February 6)

The first session was led by Ms. Zizhen Liu, who has 26 years of overseas Chinese language teaching experience and holds master's degree in Chinese education. The class focused on the classic children's story "The Good Little Bunny." With vivid and expressive storytelling, Ms. Liu guided the children in singing familiar nursery rhymes.

Hand puppets representing the bunny father, bunny mother, little bunny, and the big bad wolf were used to bring the story to life. Through interactive role-play, the children responded to the storyline with gestures and facial expressions, immersing themselves in a joyful and engaging language environment. The warm and natural classroom atmosphere allowed young learners to build language awareness and expressive skills through play.

Session Two: Music and Rhythmic Movement (February 21)

The second session was led by Dr. Shenny Chiou, who holds a Doctorate in Music Education from Michigan State University and had worked as a teacher at Yamaha Music School.

During the session, children stepped up to the keyboard to explore the location of Middle C and, under Dr. Chiou's guidance, played the melody of "Roller Coaster," experiencing the flow of musical notes firsthand. They also engaged with rhythm through clapping, drumming, and playing hand bells, discovering variations and layers in tempo and sound.

Parents and children took turns serving as little conductors, leading a group performance of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". As they swayed to the melody, laughter and delight filled the room, fostering both confidence and a genuine love for music. The thoughtfully designed interactive activities nurtured rhythm awareness and concentration in a relaxed and joyful setting.

Each session not only provided children with opportunities to explore and grow in a supportive environment but also allowed parents to experience firsthand the professionalism and educational philosophy behind the program.

"My Playhouse" was designed for infants as young as six months through children up to five years old, along with their parents. It offered an authentic, open, and educational preschool learning environment that supported early childhood development while helping families gain a deeper understanding of preschool teaching approaches and learning processes.

As an ongoing community program, sessions were held on the first and third Fridays of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Carefully designed and led by CCACC Academy's professional teaching team, the curriculum blended structured instruction with guided exploration, inspiring young children to develop a natural love of learning in a safe, warm, and stimulating environment.
