CCACC Art Gallery will host a group exhibition featuring eight watercolor artists from the Takoma Watercolor Group (TWG) on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. The participating artists are Barbara Bell, Jim Burks, David Daniels, Monika Griff, Margo Kabel, Diane Rudzinski, Jane Salomon, and Michael Shibley.

For more than sixteen years, the TWG has met weekly to enjoy painting, share ideas, and learn from their teacher, mentor, and friend, David R. Daniels. The participating artists are all experienced in the traditional methods of watercolor painting, yet they enthusiastically embrace new techniques and materials in creating their work, including unusual papers, inks, stencils, gouache, pastels, and natural or found materials.

Sharing work in progress supports and encourages each artist to follow the direction their painting takes, exploring new subjects and extending their practice to other watercolor–related media, including collage, fiber arts, mixed media, and photography.

The works in this exhibit, TWG's third at the CCACC Art Gallery since 2017, highlight both the power of collaboration to inspire and the independent development of each artist and their personal response to the world around them.

CCACC Art Gallery warmly invites members of the community and art enthusiasts to attend the exhibition, meet the artists in person, and experience the poetry and charm of the watercolor world.
