To raise community awareness of gut health and strengthen understanding of colorectal cancer prevention and early screening, the CCACC Health Center will host a bilingual (Chinese–English) online colorectal cancer screening seminar on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. Community members are warmly invited to participate and join in safeguarding their own health and that of their families.

The health talk will feature Gail Foster (RN, BSN, MS, MBA) as the main speaker. Gail Foster currently serves in Clinical Patient Navigation at Shield by Guardant Health. The presentation will focus on fundamental knowledge of colorectal cancer and the importance of screening, covering topics such as what colorectal cancer is, how it develops, and the current challenges it poses to public health in the United States. Colorectal cancer screening can detect cancer or precancerous polyps before symptoms appear and plays a critical role in preventing the disease.

In addition, the health talk will help participants determine whether they should undergo colorectal cancer screening, emphasize the importance of early detection and early treatment, and provide a detailed introduction to three commonly used screening methods: stool tests, blood tests, and colonoscopy. The session aims to help participants build a scientific and comprehensive understanding of colorectal health.

Through this health talk, the CCACC Health Center hopes to enhance community awareness of the necessity of colorectal cancer screening and empower residents to take proactive steps in protecting their health and the well-being of their families.

The health talk will be conducted online.
