As the old year passes and the new year dawns, 2026 arrives with renewed hope and vitality. During this festive season, the community is welcomed to experience a cultural celebration where tradition meets the joy of the Lunar New Year, sharing the warmth of reunion and the blessings of the Year of the Horse.

Since 1997, the Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC) has hosted Lunar New Year celebrations at major shopping centers in Montgomery County, serving as an important cultural hub for the Greater Washington, D.C. area. With a longstanding commitment to strengthening community connections, CCACC continues this cherished tradition with the 2026 Lunar New Year Celebrations, bringing festive spirit and cultural heritage to the community.

To create an immersive Lunar New Year atmosphere, two celebrations will be held at Westfield Montgomery Mall, Macy's Court:

· Opening Celebration: Sunday, February 15, 2026 | 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

· Closing Celebration: Saturday, February 28, 2026 | 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

The opening celebration will feature a vibrant golden dragon parade, traditional dragon and lion dances, martial arts demonstrations, and a variety of cultural performances. The programs highlight the richness and artistic beauty of Lunar New Year traditions, offering the public an opportunity to experience these traditions through celebration.

Families and community members are encouraged to attend and enjoy the festive atmosphere, welcome the Year of the Horse, and share in the joy of the Lunar New Year while creating lasting memories in 2026.
