The CCACC Photo Club held the opening reception of the photographic exhibition Light & Motion on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the CCACC Art Gallery. The warm and welcoming event attracted many audience of photography enthusiasts and art lovers.
Several distinguished guests attended the opening reception, including Rita Lewi (Executive Director of CCACC and Director of CCACC Art Gallery), Chang Zhao (Vice Chair of the CCACC Board of Directors), Ned Li (CCACC Co-founder and Founder of the CCACC Photo Club), and Chih-Hsiang Li (CCACC Co-founder and Director of CCACC Sports).
The opening reception was hosted by Chris Kong, President of the CCACC Photo Club. He began by extending a heartfelt welcome to all guests and expressing sincere appreciation to the CCACC Art Gallery for providing a professional and high-quality exhibition platform that allows photographic works to reach a broader audience. Following his remarks, Executive Director Lewi delivered her opening address, noting that Light & Motion is the first exhibition of 2026 at the CCACC Art Gallery. She thanked all participating photographers and shared that the gallery will continue to present diverse and engaging exhibitions in the future, encouraging continued support and attention from the community.
The event then moved into the "Artwork Interpretation" segment, hosted by Alex Guo (Artistic Chair of the CCACC Photo Club). Under his guidance, participating photographers took turns presenting their works via the gallery's large LED TV wall and sharing their creative concepts. Themes ranging from Chinese culture and urban landscapes to wildlife and natural scenery were vividly interwoven, drawing continuous applause and admiration from the audience.
During the event, President Kong also reflected on the significance of photography in an era of rapid artificial intelligence development. He emphasized that the value of photography lies in the photographer's patience and contemplation in capturing a decisive moment, and that this process—imbued with time, emotion, and perception—gives each image its irreplaceable meaning.
As the reception concluded, guests enjoyed light refreshments while engaging in lively conversations with the photographers about their creative experiences, creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Special thanks were extended to all volunteers and the organizing team whose dedication made the exhibition a great success.
