CCACC Health Center has long been committed to supporting the needs of Chinese-American families in Montgomery County caring for loved ones with dementia. With the support of the Asian American Health Initiative (AAHI) and the Maryland Living Well Center of Excellence, CCACC Health Center will launch the "Building Better Caregivers" Free Online Workshop starting January 8, 2026, designed to help caregivers gain emotional support, practical skills, and access to valuable resources. Through small group discussions, experience sharing, and mutual support, participants will learn how to care for their family members more effectively while also maintaining their own physical and mental well-being.
The workshop is primarily designed for family caregivers of individuals with the following conditions:
The program is highly interactive and led by trained professional facilitators who guide caregivers in sharing experiences, exchanging caregiving strategies, and building a supportive community. Participants will gain confidence, discover more effective caregiving methods, and reduce feelings of isolation and stress.
Workshop Highlights:
All participants are required to complete pre- and post-workshop surveys. These surveys help improve the program and contribute to project analysis. All survey and evaluation data will be de-identified and will not affect participants' ability to join the workshop.
