The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) and the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service (MCFRS) Swift Water Rescue Team jointly held the Water Safety and Survival Class at CCACC Sports on November 10, 2025. During the event, a deeper partnership between MCPD and CCACC Sports was announced to support the county's growing need for specialized water safety and emergency rescue training, enhance the professional capabilities of first responders, and safeguard community safety.

The course was established in response to the rising trend of water-related incidents in the community. Through a combination of pool-based exercises, scenario simulations, and theoretical instruction, the program aims to strengthen the water safety awareness, risk assessment skills, and emergency response capabilities of police and rescue personnel.

CCACC Sports has been officially designated as the primary year-round training site for the program. Training schedules vary depending on the time of year and type of training, with facilities being used one to three mornings per week for highly realistic water rescue scenario exercises to ensure that first responders develop practical, hands-on skills.

Continuous and reliable facility support has significantly enhanced the depth, frequency, and quality of Montgomery County's water rescue training, establishing CCACC Sports as an indispensable partner in the county's aquatic disaster preparedness and response efforts.

In recognition of CCACC Sports' substantial contributions in providing training facilities and supporting public safety, the Montgomery County Police Department presented a commendation certificate, acknowledging CCACC Sports' long-term efforts in promoting water safety education, strengthening emergency rescue capabilities, and fostering interagency collaboration. The certificate was personally signed by Captain J. David Reed, Director of Training and Education Division, Public Safety Training Academy, symbolizing the government's strong recognition of CCACC Sports' dedicated partnership.

CCACC Sports stated that providing logistical support and training facilities for police and firefighters who risk their lives to protect the community is both a great honor and a responsibility. This collaboration reflects the Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC)'s commitment to serving the community, promoting public welfare, and building strong government partnerships. "It is our privilege to work alongside the Montgomery County Police Department and Fire & Rescue Service to help ensure the safety of our residents," CCACC Sports added. "Providing a professional training environment is one of the key ways we support our frontline heroes."
