CCACC Evergreen Club Fanghua Dance Team Celebrated 5th Anniversary

The CCACC Evergreen Club Fanghua Dance Team held its 5th anniversary celebration on the afternoon of October 22, 2025. Rita S. Lewi, CCACC Executive Director; Chiao-Chiao Liu, Director of CCACC Community Services; and Jia Liu, Leader of the CCACC Evergreen Club, attended the event to share in the joy with the dance team members and their families. Guests gathered around, enjoying homemade dishes and snacks while reminiscing about the team's memorable moments over the past five years.

The Fanghua Dance Team is composed of retired individuals passionate about dance. They pursue dance for enjoyment and actively participate in various community cultural activities, enriching their retirement life while sharing culture and joy with the community. The team has performed at major events such as Lunar New Year celebrations and the Chinese Culture Festival, as well as at malls and other community activities for public performances, allowing residents to experience the beauty of Chinese traditional dance. Notably, the team often visits senior communities and nursing homes, bringing warmth and companionship through dance.

The dance team was founded by Teacher Tianwen Pei and a fellow dance enthusiast. Initially, the team had only a few members, but under Teacher Pei's dedication and guidance, it gradually grew to nearly forty members. Many had no prior dance experience, yet through enthusiasm and perseverance, they started from scratch, built confidence with mutual encouragement, and eventually performed on stage with grace and skill.

Five years of dedication have shaped the growth of the Fanghua Dance Team. Appreciation goes to each team member for their commitment, to the CCACC Community Services for its support, and especially to Teacher Pei for her unwavering leadership and dedication over the years.
