The Folklore Society of Greater Washington (FSGW) was unable to present the festival in 2024, but it's back for 2025—this time in the fall.  Join FSGW and the Glen Echo Park Partnership on October 19 from 12:00pm to 9:00pm for the Washington Folk Festival, happening throughout the Park.

Now a one-day event, expect a jam-packed roster full of dancing, storytelling, and music ranging from American to International styles: bluegrass to Celtic, Klezmer to Americana, blues to Zydeco, we cover folk music from around the world!

Halau Ho'omau Ika Wai Ola O Hawai'i will be performing at 1pm in the Spanish Ballroom. In addition other AAPI groups will be featured including: Washington Toho Koto Society and Humayun Khan.

Five stages, hundreds of performers, food trucks, a picnic area, and it's all FREE! See attachments for more details.
