Community Service Grant Opportunities for FY2027 Open September 5

Notice of Funding Opportunity for Community Service Grants for Fiscal Year 2027 Opens September 5, 2025 Technical Information Sessions for Organizations are September 9, 12, 16, and 19.

The City of Gaithersburg announces the Notice of Funding Opportunity for the Fiscal Year 2027 Community Service Grant program. These grants aim to address community needs and provide quality, accessible, and equitable services for City residents.

Applications for FY27 grants will be accepted starting September 5, 2025. All proposals must be submitted online, accessible under  "Community Services"  here. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025. Late proposals will not be accepted after that date and time.

Technical information sessions for the Community Service Grant program will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 10 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 1 p.m., and Friday, September 19, 2025, at 10 a.m.  These sessions will be an hour and a half. The City of Gaithersburg is seeking not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) agencies to provide critical community service programs to City families in the service areas of medical, mental health, vocational, food, housing preservation, and for services older adults and people with disabilities. 

The Gaithersburg Community Services Division staff review applications for technical compliance, after which they are submitted to the City's Community Advisory Committee for evaluation. Award recommendations are submitted to the Mayor and City Council for funding consideration as part of the FY27 budget cycle.
