Join the CCACC Youth Dragon Dance Team!

Founded over a decade ago, the CCACC Youth Dragon Dance Team is active throughout the Greater Washington, D.C. area. Comprised of passionate middle and high school students, the team regularly takes part in a variety of community and cultural events, including Labor Day parades, Lunar New Year celebrations, Memorial Day activities, and Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month festivities. Through dragon dance performances, members not only learn and preserve Chinese cultural traditions but also develop communication and teamwork skills in a multicultural community.

Our Mission: To promote the Chinese dragon dance tradition and showcase the talents of young people

Activities: Dragon dance performances and parades at Asian cultural and community events

Eligibility: Students in grades 6 – 12

Training Schedule: Wednesdays, 4:30 – 6:00 PM, starting approximately 1 – 2 months before each event

Volunteer Hours: Eligible for Student Service Learning (SSL) volunteer hours
