Greetings!
We're excited to announce that the Office of the Comptroller of Maryland will begin accepting applications for the Comptroller's nine public-facing Advisory Councils on Tuesday, August 5th!
The Office of the Comptroller of Maryland is committed to ensuring that Marylanders in every area of the state are familiar with and able to easily access the services and resources provided by the agency, including data and information about key policy issues. To help to support that vision, we are convening a new term of advisory councils to provide opportunities for key stakeholder groups, policy experts, and community partners to advise the agency on our strategic goals, policy direction, and new initiatives while also helping to shape our internal and external engagement strategy.
Our Comptroller of Maryland advisory councils meet at least quarterly, with two-year terms (2026-2028). Members will be invited to share feedback on pressing issues impacting their communities, advise the agency on its policy agenda and priorities, and identify opportunities for collaboration between the Comptroller's Office and their communities.
Keep an eye out for an email notification with the application link next Tuesday. In the meantime, if you are interested in learning more about the work of the advisory councils or the application process, we encourage you to watch our instructional webinar or review the FAQs below.
