CCACC Health Center is sincerely seeking dedicated healthcare professionals to join our team and bring new energy to our mission of serving the community. We are currently hiring for the following positions: Medical Front Desk Receptionist and Nurse Practitioner (NP).

 

Medical Front Desk Receptionist

Job Summary:
Support scheduling operations and assist patients in overcoming barriers to accessing healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

1. Welcome and greet all patients and visitors in person or by phone;
2. Answer incoming calls professionally and courteously using proper phone etiquette;
3. Maintain a clean and organized reception area;
4. Register new patients and update information for existing patients, including personal and financial details;
5. Facilitate patient flow by notifying providers of arrivals, monitoring delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff;
6. Respond to patient and visitor inquiries in a courteous and helpful manner;
7. Manage medical office inventory, anticipate supply needs, place orders, and monitor equipment;
8. Ensure patient confidentiality by securing protected health information (PHI) and properly logging off computers.

Qualifications:

1. Strong verbal and written communication skills;
2. Proficient computer and data entry skills;
3. Flexible and adaptable with job responsibilities;
4. Preferred background in public health, social work, or medical service settings;
5. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on empathy and cultural sensitivity;
6. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team;
7. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems;
8. Bilingual skills are preferred but not required, depending on patient demographics.

 

Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide high-quality primary and preventive care at CCACC Health Center, serving the diverse and underserved populations of Montgomery County.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform comprehensive assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and screenings;
2. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and respiratory illnesses;
3. Develop and implement treatment plans focused on accessible and affordable care;
4. Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice;
5. Educate patients on chronic disease management, preventive care, and healthy lifestyles;
6. Refer patients to specialists and community resources as needed;
7. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care;
8. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR system;
9. Participate in community outreach activities such as health fairs and educational workshops;
10. Stay informed about public health trends and resources available to low-income populations.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner;
2. Master's degree in Nursing, with a focus on Family, Adult, or Community Health;
3. Active Maryland NP license and national certification (e.g., FNP, ANP);
4. Preferred: 2+ years of experience in primary care or community health, especially with underserved populations;
5. Understanding of healthcare disparities and social determinants of health in economically disadvantaged communities;
6. Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on empathy and cultural competence;
7. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team;
8. Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems;
9. Bilingual skills are preferred but not required, based on patient needs;

Salary is negotiable and will be based on qualifications and experience;
