CCACC (Chinese Culture and Community Service Center) Health Center held an open house for its new location on December 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM, marking another significant milestone in the center's development.

CCACC Health Center is one of the CCACC's seven divisions, providing various health services to residents of all ages.  The Pan Asian Volunteer Health Clinic (PAVHC), which is familiar to the community, is part of the CCACC Health Center. CCACC Health Center will continue to provide high-quality healthcare services to community residents with upgraded facilities and a more welcoming environment.

Stepping into the new clinic, visitors are greeted by a spacious outpatient coordination and reception area in the lobby. The clinic is equipped with six exam rooms, one therapy room, one laboratory, and a rehabilitation room. These upgraded facilities not only enhance the efficiency of medical consultations but also significantly improve the patient experience. Additionally, two newly added meeting rooms provide convenient spaces for internal collaboration.

A standout feature of the new location is the specially expanded Rehabilitation Room. Its spacious design accommodates more patients' recovery needs and includes a newly added laundry facility, thoughtfully addressing practical requirements during the rehabilitation process.

Previously, due to space limitations at the old clinic, rehabilitation programs had to be conducted in Room 156B on the first floor of the CCACC Adult Day Healthcare Center (ADHC). With the expansion of the new location, patients can now undergo rehabilitation in a larger, better-equipped space, significantly enhances both the comfort and effectiveness of patient's recovery experience.

In addition, the clinic's newly developed pharmacy service will feature Chinese-speaking pharmacists, addressing language barriers for many Chinese residents and providing more convenient services. Looking ahead, the clinic plans to further expand its dental facilities to meet the growing demand, offering comprehensive oral healthcare for the community.

Since its establishment, the CCACC Health Center has grown from a small mobile clinic, initially offering basic healthcare services with only three rotating physicians, into a vital healthcare institution in Montgomery County. Over the past decade, the center has continuously expanded its services, going beyond primary care to introduce essential medical programs and social services such as the Hepatitis B Prevention Program, Chronic Care Management, and Promise Program.

In 2015, the center launched the "Mental Health 360" initiative, providing professional mental health support specifically for the Asian community, filling a critical gap in this area of care.

At the open house of the new location, Ms. Rita Lewi, Executive Director of CCACC, Dr. Yuchi Huang, Chairman of the CCACC Board, and Ms. Chang Zhao, Vice Chairman of the CCACC Board, joined staff and community members to witness this exciting moment. Attendees enjoyed delicious refreshments while touring the new clinic and sharing their hopes for the upgraded facilities in a warm and joyful atmosphere.

The CCACC Health Center remains committed to its mission of continuously improving healthcare services to safeguard the health and well-being of Montgomery County residents.
