As a well-known nonprofit organization in the Greater Washington area, the Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC) has been dedicated to providing healthcare, education, and social services to the Asian and Chinese communities for 42 years, serving as an important bridge within the community. On December 8, 2024, CCACC actively participated in the "Community Resource Fair," jointly hosted by the Montgomery County Council and Montgomery County Executive, showcasing its wide range of diverse services.
At the fair, CCACC showcased the services offered by its various divisions at its booth, including: CCACC Adult Day Healthcare Center, CCACC Health Center, CCACC Home Care, CCACC Community Services, CCACC Academy, CCACC Art Gallery, and CCACC Sports.
The fair attracted nearly 50 community service organizations, covering a wide range of fields including legal information, resident benefits, education, healthcare, and recreational fitness. On the event day, Montgomery County Council President Kathleen M. (Kate) Stewart, former Council President Andrew M. Friedson, Councilmembers Marilyn Balcombe and Evan M. Glass, and Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich attended and delivered speeches. They warmly welcomed all attendees, expressed gratitude for the support and participation of various organizations, and shared their hope for Montgomery County to further enhance its services and bring greater benefits to the community.
Ms. Kate Lu, Director of CCACC Health Center, represented CCACC at the event. She stated: "We are deeply grateful to the Montgomery County government for providing CCACC the opportunity to showcase our services to community residents. We have received funding support from the county government to advance healthcare and community services, such as the Montgomery Cares program, Mental Health 360, and the Senior Nutrition Program. This event serves as a vital opportunity to connect with the community and other service providers.”
She added: "A heartfelt thank you to Council President Ms. Stewart, former Council President Mr. Friedson, and County Executive Mr. Elrich for their unwavering support in making this meaningful event possible.”
This fair not only increased public awareness of CCACC's services but also fostered collaboration and exchange among various organizations, further strengthening the community service network. Looking ahead, CCACC remains committed to providing more diverse and comprehensive services, ensuring that even more people benefit from the care and support it offers.
