AALEAD is hosting our mental health education series for youth ages 10-15 and their respective families!

The wellness movement in education is so crucial for our communities and we want to equip youth with helpful skills to deal with stress and difficult hardships. This 4th annual education series has the theme: "Embracing Our Minds", which focuses on understanding, accepting, and finding acts of care for our racing & stressed minds.

They aim to unpack and destigmatize mental health conversations in the Asian American community and celebrate our unique identities. There will be unique breakout sessions for youth (focused on a hands-on approach) and parents (discussion and education led by mental health experts).

These sessions are monthly on Saturdays and you can receive some amazing incentives (raffle prizes, SSL hours, $50 stipend). If you would like to get more involved with this program, we are looking for volunteers to help with the day-of event support OR supporting the event planning.

First Session: Saturday, Nov 23rd, 10am -1:30pm (followed by Dec 14th & Jan 18th sessions)

Julius West Middle School - 651 Great Falls Rd, Rockville, MD 20850
