11.15.2024 Warm Congratulations on the Celebration of CCACC 42nd Anniversary

Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC) is thrilled to celebrate its 42nd anniversary. Reflecting on the past, the Center has built a diverse service platform for the Chinese community through collective efforts. As one of the leading nonprofit service organizations in the greater Washington, D.C. area, CCACC continues to expand its services and reach, creating a lasting impact. On this 42nd anniversary, CCACC remains committed to its core values, aiming for steady growth and uniting the community to contribute to the well-being of society.

Celebrating Together

The celebration took place on November 9 at 10 a.m. in the lobby on the first floor of the Center, with the theme "We Are Family". Approximately 400 people attended the event.

First, Dr. Yuchi Huang, Chairman of the CCACC Board, delivered a speech and introduced the board members present. Dr. Huang expressed that CCACC has received widespread recognition and praise from various sectors and Montgomery County government due to its core values: "Care with love and compassion, Serve with sincerity and integrity, Thrive on joy and harmony."

Following this, Ms. Rita Lewi, Executive Director of CCACC, presented the annual report. She provided an overview of the organization's structure, reviewed the financial report from the past five years, addressed the current challenges and shared CCACC's vision for future development.

Recognition and Appreciation

Dr. Huang presented awards to honor retired Board of Directors in gratitude for their service. The honorees included Dr. Alven Lam, Former CCACC Chairman and Current CCACC Senior Advisor; Dr. Yao-Yao Zhu, Former CCACC Vice Chairman; Ms. Yeh-Fong Chen, Former Secretary of the CCACC Board of Directors; Mr. Charles Chen, Former CCACC Board Member; and Mr. Bertrand Tzeng, Former CCACC Board Member.

Following this, Ms. Lewi presented the CCACC Senior Employees Recognition Awards. The awardees were Ms. Cuiyun Yu for 15 years of service, Mr. Runkun Gao for 10 years, and Mr. Jason Shen, Mr. Shuming Li, and Ms. Yuhsin (Lily) Huang for 5 years of service.

A new "Extra Mile Award" was introduced in this year's celebration to recognize employees and volunteers who have gone above and beyond in their roles. Ms. Lewi explained that this award aims to honor exceptional dedication and excellence. This year, a total of 20 employees and volunteers received this special award.

President's Volunteer Service Award

CCACC was founded on the dedication of its volunteers, and every success is deeply rooted in the contributions of these devoted individuals. This year, the awardees of the 2024 President's Volunteer Service Award include volunteers from the CCACC Administrative Office, CCACC Evergreen Club, CCACC Health Center, CCACC Youth Volleyball Clinic, CCACC Youth Dragon Dance Team, and CCACC Academy.

Divisions Reports and Performances

The directors of the seven external service divisions of CCACC took turns delivering remarks. Each division showcased the unity, enthusiasm, and dedication of their staff through short videos, performances, and interactive activities, highlighting CCACC's thriving growth and development. The event reached its peak as the sweet song "We Are Family" played, and everyone in the audience joined in the celebration, creating an atmosphere of joy and excitement.

Joyful Raffle and Chorus Celebration of the Anniversary

During the raffle, several seniors from CCACC Adult Day Healthcare Center and members of CCACC Evergreen Club were lucky winners, bringing even more joy and laughter to the event. At the end of the celebration, everyone joined in singing the "Happy Birthday" song.

After the celebration, attendees enjoyed a specially designed cake for the CCACC  42nd anniversary and a delicious lunch. In this joyful and grateful celebration, CCACC expressed its appreciation for everyone's support. Moving forward, we will continue to serve the community with the care and warmth of family, bringing more services and support to those we serve.
