9.5.24 Paid opportunity for native Chinese speakers at the University of Maryland

The National Foreign Language Center (NFLC) at the University of Maryland is looking for speakers of Mandarin Chinese from mainland China to come to our office to record videos for a project which is intended to test a new translation technology. We thought members of your organization may be interested in participating in this project, or may know others who would be.  Research participants do not need to have any fluency in English and will be paid $400 in cash for one day (approximately 8 hours) of participation. 
The study will take place in October 2024, during business hours (between 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday) at our office in Riverdale, MD. Right now we are scheduling our Chinese language participants to come in on Thursday, October 10. We are particularly in need of older research participants (age 46 and older).
