6.10.2024 Act Now! June 15 Service Year Deadline Approaching
If you know someone who would be a great Service Year Option Member, tell them to apply before the next deadline, June 15th at serve.maryland.gov
As a reminder, the program is open to all high school graduates (diploma, GED, certificate of completion) having finished in the past three years and who are 18 years-old by the program start date on September 11, 2024. DSCI is committed to generating an applicant pool that is as diverse as possible including justice-involved youth, noncitizens, and those with disabilities.
Participants will gain real world work skills, earn at least $15 per hour, get help with transportation and child care needs, and, at completion of their service, $6,000 to use toward tuition costs or as a cash stipend.
