May is Free Preventive Care Month at the CCACC Health Center. This service aims to provide basic medical services to the community, to help everyone develop better disease prevention habits. We offer free annual routine blood tests for those with health insurance or who are registered participants of the Montgomery Cares Program. We encourage community members who have not had a physical examination to get their annual check-up.

If you do not have insurance, as long as you reside in Montgomery County, we can also assist eligible residents in applying for the Montgomery Cares Program. Once enrolled, you can receive low-cost medical care at the CCACC Health Center, including free annual check-ups and basic medical services (After Free Preventive Care Month in May, each visit costs $25). Following your visit, you can obtain free chronic disease medications from the CCACC pharmacy with a prescription, subject to availability.

Eligibilities:

  1. Free for uninsured, low income Montgomery County residents who signed up to Montgomery Cares Program.
  2. Free for those who has insurances that CCACC Health Center accepts.
  3. $10 for those who do not fit 1 and 2 criterial, and who do not have a family doctor, or have not undergone physical examinations in the past 12 months. You are welcome to use the services of this event.

Preventive Blood tests include:

  1. CBC - Complete Blood Count, including red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.
  2. CMP - Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, including liver function, kidney function, and blood glucose.
  3. Lipid Panel - Lipid profile, including cholesterol types and triglycerides.
  4. Hepatitis B Screening - Tests for Hepatitis B surface antigen and antibodies, core antibody.
  5. Comprehensive Health Assessment, Women's Care (excluding Pap smears), Medical Benefits Consultation

Please note that the fees apply only to the services listed above. We recommend that you make an appointment as soon as possible, as early detection and preventive measures are crucial for maintaining good health and preventing the development of potential health issues. Individuals who have successfully made an appointment can visit the CCACC Health Center at their scheduled time for blood testing services. Alternatively, you can take our blood test form and complete your blood test at any LabCorp location by May 31st.

For those who participate in the blood test after the health fair, all blood test reports will be mailed to patients after being interpreted by the doctor. If the test results indicated immediate attention is needed, clinic staff will contact the patient for further consultation. Uninsured individuals who enroll in the Montgomery Cares program will be able to have a free medical consultation.
