3.8.2024 Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA)

We wanted to let you know that with funding from the US Department of Labor, the Primary Care Coalition is providing scholarships to eligible community members and preparing them for entry level positions in healthcare organizations. Scholarships are available to for certification training in Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA), phlebotomy technician, and pharmacy technician programs. The PCC Workforce Program is committed to building and sustaining a culturally and linguistically diverse healthcare workforce that reflects our diverse community and is ensuring economic empowerment and educational success for under-employed residents.

We are excited to announce that we have a new CNA training class starting on April 15th at Montgomery College!

The CNA training includes classroom, skills lab, and clinical training at a hospital in Montgomery County. The class start date for the other healthcare certificate training (Geriatric Nursing Assistant, phlebotomy technician, and pharmacy technician) is TBD and will be shared as soon as we have that information.

We invite you to the attached flyer. The flyer includes information on CNA training, qualifications and eligibility requirements, a link, and a QR code directing users to a required interest form.
