1.15.2024 FREE Biomed Expo Exhibit for high school students

OCA-DC is honored to co-sponsor the attached FREE Biomed Expo Exhibit event hosted by the Walt Whitman High School Biomed Club of 120 student members.  The event will occur next Friday, January 19, from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. at Walt Whitman High School - Common Area in Bethesda, MD.

Although this event is targeted for high students pursuing Biomed careers, it includes a very knowledgeable speaker, Elisa Chen, who will present at 6 p.m. and exhibit at 7 p.m. about general readying for college, beginning from grades 8 to grade 12.  Other knowledgeable speakers in the Biomed field will also be presenting at this event.

The keynote speakers will be presenting between 6 to 7 p.m. with an exhibit hall available from 7 p.m. to 8:30 pm to connect with meaningful resources in the local DMV area.  Parents, guardians, and 8th grade to 12th grade students, along with the general public are welcome to attend this exciting event of learning!

I'll be introducing two exceptional high school leaders from OCA-DC, Ethan Huang and Anna Jho, who wish to encourage their student peers from other high schools to be civic and community-minded in service to the needs and concerns of our AANHPI communities. 

As a former college grad recruiter in the private sector, I looked for leadership by students who have been other-centered or God-centered, beyond just being high achievers academically.  Consider joining us to learn more!
