As we commemorate Veterans Day, Ascend is proud to host this special program to: ▖ Recognize and celebrate the contributions and journeys of resilient AAPI veterans ▖ Explore the influence of cultural heritage and the desire to serve the country ▖Glean leadership lessons from their unique and shared lived experiences ▖Discuss the importance of and how to enable civic engagement ▖Explore tangible ways we can support veterans' reentry into 'civilian' life including supporting their unique mental health needs AAPIs have been honorably serving our country since the 1800s and we are proud to recognize and celebrate their contributions and learn from their experiences. In an effort to better understand veterans demographics within the Ascend network, to curate impactful programs for them, and to build a veterans community, we are conducting a short survey.
