1.6.2023 City Offices Closed in Observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Gaithersburg, MD (January 6, 2023) In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, most City of Gaithersburg facilities and offices will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2023. Recycling will take place as scheduled. Bulk pick up is unavailable. Note that the regular Mayor and City Council Meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 17.

The Aquatic Center will be open 5:15 to 8:30 p.m. with lap swimming from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. and recreational swim from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Gaithersburg Police Department Administrative Offices will open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Arts Barn will be open for two performances of Day of Service on Monday, January 16 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Honoring Martin Luther King Jr. and the National Day of Service program, children and families will learn the value of volunteerism and helping all of those around us. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 day of the event, and $8 for youth ages 10 and under. Purchase tickets here.
