About Future Link – MoCo Nonprofit Serving First-Gen, Low-Income Young Adults
Future Link (www.futurelinkmd.org) provides education and career resources to Montgomery County young adults (age 18-25) who are first-generation to college, low-income, and are committed to overcoming the challenges they face.
The entry point for the Future Link program is a self-advocacy and career development seminar. Following the seminar, students are matched with a mentor who helps them stay focused on their education and career plan with the ultimate goal of self-sufficiency. Future Link supports our students with paid internships, scholarships, workshops, networking opportunities, and more.
How You Can Help – Spread the Word!
Future Link seeks volunteer mentors and program participants!
A Win-Win for Your Community
Future Link supports MoCo young adults who are the next generation of nurses, educators, social workers, electricians, business leaders, auto mechanics, and more. Mentors journey with students on their unique path to reach their education and career goals. Combined with Future Link’s wraparound services, mentors are invaluable in assisting a student to supersede their position in society and become self-sufficient, productive young adults. Future Link alumni often return to volunteer and serve the new cohort of students which continues our mission to build equity in the community,
We are fortunate to have an amazing cadre of volunteers who invest in our motivated young people. For more information about mentoring or applying to the program, please contact Allison Reznick at areznick@futurelinkmd.org o
