7.1.2022 Award-Winning Images on Display at Activity Center at Bohrer Park

Gaithersburg, MD (June 28, 2022) The City of Gaithersburg presents Award-Winning Images from the Maryland Photography Alliance as part of the "Photography Across the City" exhibitions. The exhibit is on display now through September 5, 2022, at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 South Frederick Avenue. Viewing hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Meet the artists and view their works at an Artists Reception on Sunday, July 17 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The receptions for the Gaithersburg Camera Club exhibit at Kentlands Mansion and Photography on Unusual Surfaces with an Invitational Metal Sculpture Exhibition at the Arts Barn will also be held that afternoon and attendees are invited to visit all three galleries. 

This exhibit features 57 images from the Alliance's 5th annual competition. The artists featured include Sukumar Balachandran, Paul Biederman, Steve Bruza, Stan Collyer, Larry Dean, Earl Deickman, Steven Dembo, Lei Deng, Sabine Dickens, William Dusterwald, Bruce Edwards, Christine Edwards, Kaye Flamm, Christopher Frisone, Matthew Hanson, Martin Heavner, Esther Iglich, Karen Jury, Stefan Kaben, Elliott Kagan, Wendy Kates, Erica Kavadias, Cheryl Kerr, Beth Koller, Michael Kuchinsky, Cam Miller, Douglas Miller, Kevin Moore, Sandy Nichols, Ruiqing Pamboukian, Ajay Rajagopal, Jenny Rea, Heather Rees, Lynn Roberts, Adan Rodriguez-Arroyo, Joan Saba, Reinhardt Sahmel, Anik Sales, Dave Schaible, Bill Seelig, Goutam Sen, Margaret Sprott, David Terao, Mike Thomas, Fred Venecia, Carol Ward, Kayla Welsh, Warren Wilson, Douglas Wolters, and Nikos Zacharakis.

Founded in 2017, the mission of the Maryland Photography Alliance (MPA) is to promote collaboration, cooperation, and the sharing of resources among member clubs. Through a strong alliance, individual club members have greater access to photographic enrichment opportunities.
