Gaithersburg, MD (June 7, 2022) The City of Gaithersburg announces its first annual Call to Young Artists to exhibit work in a youth art gallery that will be located inside the new Mayor and City Council Chambers at the 16 South Summit Avenue Municipal Building, scheduled to open later this year. Two youth exhibits will be presented over the next twelve months:
Due date for submissions is Friday, September 16.
Due date for submissions is Friday, January 13.
Exhibitors must be 18 or under and reside within the municipal limits of the City of Gaithersburg. There is no application fee. The Call to Artist application and more information may be found here. A panel of jurors will review the submissions, basing their selections on unique insights and creativity, technical ability for grade-level, and adherence to theme.

The Youth Art Gallery and a new Community Gallery in the 16 South Summit Avenue building will bring the City's total inventory of rotating art exhibit spaces to six.
