In recognition of May as Older Americans Month, May 15th as National Senior Fraud Awareness Day, and June 15th as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day please join The FBI Baltimore Citizens Academy Alumni Association Chapter for upcoming Elder Fraud Webinars on Wednesday May 25th at 6:30 PM and Wednesday, June 15th at 6:30 PM for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

The latest IC3 Elder Fraud 2021 reports that victims over the age of 60 lost $1.7 Billion and the average dollar loss per victim was $18,246! In Maryland victims over 60 lost over $37 Million and there were over $7 Million in reported losses in Delaware. Though older adults on average lose more money to fraud than other age groups, they are still the least likely age group to report that loss.
