The Gaithersburg Chorus celebrates the dawning of a new spring season. Join Music Director Daniel Hopkins, Accompanist Guzal Isametdinova, Young Artist Award Competition winner Maren Lewis as guest soloist, and the Gaithersburg Chorus in a program of uplifting and bright seasonal music.
The Gaithersburg Chorus is a non-audition ensemble class, open to those 16 years and older. At weekly rehearsals participants enjoy instruction on music theory, musicality and the mechanics of singing, including vocalization, voice control, proper breathing technique, and voice projection. The Chorus performs a variety of music, from classical to pop to Broadway and everything in between. Students looking for volunteer opportunities can earn SSL hours for participating in the Chorus.
