3.25.2022 Go "Walking with Shakespeare" at Observatory Park in Gaithersburg

Gaithersburg, MD (March 25, 2022) Gaithersburg's Arts on the Green invites you to its 2nd annual "Walking with Shakespeare," on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Observatory Park, 100 DeSellum Avenue.

Experience William Shakespeare's most celebrated plays as they come to life on this unique walking tour. Tickets are $10, $5 youth ages 18 and under. Purchase tickets here.

Celebrate the Bard's 458th birthday with a stroll through the spring air. Meet traveling minstrels along the way as you travel past scenes from six Shakespearian comedies and tragedies. Each scene lasts approximately 10 minutes, and all pathways are accessible. This program is recommended for ages 12 and older.

Participating theatre arts program partners include Rockville Little Theatre, The Montgomery Playhouse, Mad Rabbit Society, and Victorian Lyric Opera Company.  Additionally, members of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) will be presenting a demonstration in weaving, calligraphy, medieval costuming, and a live rapier exhibition. The SCA is an international educational organization dedicated to recreating the Middle Ages.
