Dr. Weiming Ryan Yan graduated from Sun Yat-Sen University.  He received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Florida.  He then pursued medical training at Ohio State University and received his M.D. degree.  He has finished his Internal Medicine residency at Georgetown University and his Gastroenterology Fellowship at West Virginia University.  He is board-certified at Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.  He has worked at Medstar Health and Lifebridge Health.  Currently, he works at Frederick Gastroenterology.  He is interested in GERD, screening, and treatment for colorectal cancer, stomach cancer, esophageal cancer, and liver cancer, treatment for Helicobacter pylori, treatment for hepatitis B and hepatitis C, liver disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
