Gaithersburg, MD (January 18, 2022) Gaithersburg's Arts on the Green presents the 9th annual juried multimedia exhibition of artwork from the members of the Art League of Germantown (ALOG). The exhibit is on display through March 27, 2022, at Kentlands Mansion, 320 Kent Square Road. Viewing is by appointment only, Monday through Friday. Artist and teacher, Michael F. Shibley, juried this exhibition, which contains 56 pieces by 22 artists.
Should it be deemed safe to do so, a joint artist reception for both the ALOG exhibit at Kentlands Mansion and the Abstract Explosion exhibit at the Arts Barn will be held on Thursday, February 17 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to visit both galleries.
Face masks are required inside all City facilities, and social distancing and limited capacity protocols are in place. Gallery access is subject to change based on the current health situation. Please check the City's website for updates.
Michael Shibley has been recognized throughout the art community with a variety of awards and professional citations. His original watercolors, which focus on light, shape and colors in the natural and man-made landscape, can be found in both public and private collections in the Washington, DC area and across the country.
ALOG was founded in 1983 to further the careers of fine artists and crafters and to bring an appreciation of the arts and offer education to the community. It provides members with the stimulation to thrive in their personal art goals and encourages enthusiastic support and appreciation for art. To learn more about the League, visit alog.org.
Please note that most of the included artwork is for sale and all images are copyrighted by the artists. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 301-258-6394, e-mail artgalleries@gaithersburgmd.
