1.14.2022 Gaithersburg City Hall Lobby Services Available by Appointment Only through January 28

Gaithersburg, MD (January 12, 2022) The City of Gaithersburg is experiencing a temporary staffing challenge in the delivery of lobby services at City Hall. In order to ensure the best possible customer service for City residents and other visitors, we will be modifying our procedures through January 28, 2022. The situation will be reassessed if necessary.

Starting January 13, advance appointments are required to access the services at City Hall. Please call 301-258-6330 or e-mail plancode@gaithersburgmd.gov. The doors to the City Hall Lobby will remain locked. Once you have arrived for your appointment, please call and you will be allowed access as soon as we are able to accommodate you. Note that you may be asked to wait in your vehicle until we are ready. Masks are required in all public indoor spaces in all City facilities for everyone over the age of two, regardless of vaccination status.

The lobbies of the Police Station (301-258-6400), Activity Center at Bohrer Park (301-258-6350) and the Public Works facility (301-258-6370) remain open. However, for maximum efficiency and to minimize the number of people in each building, advance appointments are also recommended to access services at those facilities.
