Gaithersburg, MD (December 27, 2021) The final round of the Great Gaithersburg Cookie-Off Challenge was held on December 2 at the Casey Winter Farmers Market. Julie Nemecek and Andy Snyder won first place with their recipe for "Harvest Honeynut Ginger Cookies." The other two finalists were Sammi King and Kimberly Plant.
In addition to being named the "Great Gaithersburg Cookie-Off Champions," Julie and Andy won a Gaithersburg Prize Pack featuring tickets to City classes and events. All finalists won $25 gift certificates to the Casey Farmers Market, provided by Market Money sponsor Red Carpet Remodeling. The winner will receive a Gaithersburg prize package and the title of Great Gaithersburg Chocolate-Off Champion. Recipe submissions are due January 28, 2022. Tasting and judging will take place at the Casey Winter Farmers Market on Thursday, February 17, 2022, where the winner will be announced.
