Gaithersburg, MD – (December 15, 2021) The Gaithersburg Chorus is seeking new members to sing soprano, alto, tenor or bass/baritone in the non-audition ensemble class, open to those 16 years and older. No previous experience is required. Classes begin Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

Music Director Daniel Hopkins provides weekly instruction on music theory, musicality and the mechanics of singing, including vocalization, voice control, proper breathing technique, and voice projection. The Chorus performs a variety of music, from classical to pop to Broadway and everything in between.

Weekly rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings, beginning January 4, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park. Students looking for volunteer opportunities can earn SSL hours for participating in the Chorus. They must attend each weekly rehearsal.

The registration fee is $100 for City of Gaithersburg residents, $120 for nonresidents. Scholarships are available. Learn more and register online here.
