9th Annual Humanities Days at Montgomery College - 2021

The Human in Humanities: Understanding Ourselves and Others

October 25-29, 2021

Next week Montgomery College will celebrate its 9th Annual Humanities Days, an interdisciplinary celebration of the humanities sponsored by the Global Humanities Institute and the Paul Peck Humanities Institute at Montgomery College.

The theme is The Human in Humanities: Understanding Ourselves and Others, and there are 30 virtual events for you to consider! All events are free, hosted on zoom, and open to the community.

Please consider inviting friends and colleagues from across the globe to register and learn more about: art, music, literature, and poetry as transformative acts; environmental justice; equity and inclusion; global ethics; health and well-being; history; pandemic-informed pedagogy; stories of resilience and rebuilding; and global communication!

Visit the calendar of events. Registration for each event is required.

Also, in honor of this year's 2021 Humanities Days theme, we collected some answers to the question,"in your words, what does it mean to be human?" and created a video. If you would like to share your thoughts about "in your words, what does it mean to be human?", please do so here, to continue our collective pondering!

See you soon!
