Ever since May, the national vaccine supply has been relatively sufficient. The Montgomery County Government also launched many vaccination stations so that residents may get vaccinated at stations nearby. Currently, the first-dose vaccination rate in Montgomery County is 74.7%, and the second-dose vaccination rate is 67.3%. For 12-year-olds and above, the first-dose vaccination rate is 88%, and the second-dose vaccination rate is 79.3%. Thanks to the efforts and unity of the Montgomery County Government and its residents, this achievement in Montgomery County makes us #1 in the nation. By promoting vaccination, the spread of the epidemic has been controlled for the time being. However, there are still many people in the community who have not been vaccinated yet. These people contribute to the breaching point for the spread of the epidemic, so everyone needs to be cautious to prevent it.

Starting from the middle of June, CCACC recruited about ten youth as COVID-19 vaccine promotion ambassadors. This summer, they plan to go to the postal code 20899 and other areas with lower vaccination rates in Montgomery County for face-to-face promotion. The first promotion event was held at the Great Wall Supermarket in Germantown on June 18th. The second time was at the Festival at Muddy Branch Shopping Center in Gaithersburg  on June 25th. We encountered several residents during the promotional activities who felt insecure about the vaccine due to lack of accurate information about the vaccine. They couldn't decide whether to use the vaccine or not. Because of this, CCACC Health Medical Center invited pediatrician Dr. Peggy Lee to answer on-site. We would like to thank Great Wall Supermarket and Hearty's Restaurant for their full support of the promotion activities. At the same time, CCACC appeals to the residents of Montgomery County who have not been vaccinated in order to protect themselves, their families, neighbors, and friends. If you meet the physical requirements for the vaccination, please register to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
