In the tide of anti-hate crime from nationwide, Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC) have been standing in solidarity with the AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islanders) communities to denounce the rising level of violence, harassment and hatred against AAPI. Now we are proud to sponsor the new song and #StopAsianHate anthem from pop soul singer and songwriter KHA(@vokhal) titled ”No More” - a song “to empower ALL of us to stand TOGETHER against hate."

KHA is a Vietnamese-American pop soul singer and songwriter who was born and raised in the DC area. She has a vast vocal range and a soulful tone, and she sings with a voice that is often described as being smooth yet powerful. In DC, she has performed as a guest singer at a number of venues including the White House, the Kennedy Center (with Stevie Wonder), and the Lincoln Memorial.

Her latest song "No More" tells the history of the collective Asian-American experience throughout the past 200 years in regards to AAPI various struggles with racism, othering, and the model minority myth. As what KHA described that “for far too long, Asian Americans have suffered in silence and been forced to swallow our pain because our survival depended on how "well-behaved" we were.” In the past year, hate crimes against AAPI communities rise dramatically during pandemic. People start to speak up and raise the voice, and a surging tide of #StopAsianHate has been flowing so strongly among nationwide.

"No More" was released on April 12, and has gone viral on social media. May is the American Asian Pacific American Tradition Month (AAPIHM). KHA has brought her new song to many celebrations to promote the theme of this heritage month. CCACC is honored to promote this song, to increase the awareness of AAPI’s history and contribution.
