3.2.2021 Montgomery County and Partner Seek Input From Residents on Food Security

Montgomery County and its partners, including the Montgomery County Food Council, are looking for feedback from residents on how the County can improve access to nutritious and culturally appropriate food during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. A short, eight question survey is available online at www.mocofoodcouncil.org/survey. Results from the survey will guide future policies and programs. The deadline for completing the survey is Wednesday, March 17, 2021. The survey is available in English, Spanish, Amharic, French and Mandarin.

Residents who complete Part 1 of the survey will be entered into a drawing for multiple $25 gift certificates and those who complete Part 1 and 2 of the survey will be entered into a drawing for multiple $50 gift certificates.

Resources for sharing the survey, including a social media toolkit and graphics in multiple languages are available on the Food Council’s website. Organizations interested in Food Access Survey postcards to distribute to the community should contact Surbhi Sardana at Surbhi.Sardana@montgomerycountymd.gov. Please indicate the number of postcards requested and include a mailing address.

Community Science, a local evaluation firm, will assist with data collection and analysis. The information gathered will remain confidential and will only be used to improve food security in Montgomery County.
