2.1.2021 Senior Planet MoCo Furthers Partnership with CCACC for First Virtual iPad Essentials Course

Senior Planet Montgomery, a technology training program designed for County learners 60 and older, has partnered with the Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC) to pilot the first virtual iPad essentials course starting on Monday, Feb. 15, in Mandarin. The project will advance Senior Planet Montgomery’s partnership with CCACC after hosting technology lectures once a week successfully.

The course starting on Feb. 15 will meet Mondays and Thursdays from noon-1:15 p.m. It will conclude on  March 28.

The course instruction and materials will be presented in Mandarin. Classes in English and Spanish will be offered in subsequent quarters later this year.

Course description in English:

  • iPad essentials is a 5-week course that covers the essentials of how to use an iPad, including how to navigate the internet, download and use apps, send and receive email, and take photos. By the end of the course, a participant will be able to make the most out of an iPad. This course is taught virtually, using Zoom. It’s designed for people who have never used an iPad or have very little experience and want a solid introduction. If you don't already have an Apple ID or email address, please work with Senior Planet to set them up before you start the course.

  • 這堂五個星期的課程會教您如何使用 iPad 裡的備要，包括如何遊覽網路、下載和使用各種應用程式、傳收電子郵件以及照照片。上完這堂課後，您會了解如何利用 iPad 裡大多的功能！這堂課是由網路學習，使用 Zoom 上課。這是專門為了從來沒有用過一台 iPad 或是對它有少許經驗而想要得到一個完整介紹的同學而設計的課程。如果您還沒有一個 Apple ID 或是電子郵件地，請與 Senior Planet 在開課之前創建這些帳號。蒙郡樂齡星球 (Senior Planet) 為本社區朋友們設計的iPad系列學習課程, 將從2021年2月15日至3月18日, 每週一和週四的12:00 – 13:15, 共計十堂課。內容涵蓋了iPad 的基本設定、應用程式使用 、 打電話、傳簡訊、 照相等等。
