Gaithersburg, MD (July 23, 2020)  With NASA about to launch its 4th rover mission to Mars, the Gaithersburg Community Museum invites you to a Facebook discussion about the Mars Rover with NASA Science Planner Keri Bean. The virtual Skywatching event takes place on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 7 p.m. on the Community Museum Facebook page.

Have you ever wondered what it's like to drive on Mars? The planet is about 69 million miles from Earth (give or take depending on its orbit), which means there is lag time between sending a direction to do a task and the rover receiving that direction. Science Planner Keri Bean talks about her experiences working with the Curiosity and Perseverance Mars Rovers and what NASA expects to learn from Perseverance.
