Gaithersburg, MD – (June 26, 2020) The City of Gaithersburg’s two Farmers Markets resume operations the week of July 6. The Casey Market, which relocated from Fulks Corner in Olde Towne to the Casey Community Center, is open on Thursdays, while the Main Street Market is open on Saturdays. Both will operate with reduced hours.

The Casey Market is open Thursdays, July 9 through November 19, 2020, with temporary hours of 1 to 4 p.m. It’s located at the Casey Community Center at 810 South Frederick Avenue. You’ll find fresh fruit and veggies, coffee, breads, and kettle corn.

The Main Street Farmers Market is open Saturdays, July 11 through November 21, 2020, with temporary hours of 9 a.m. to Noon. It’s located at the Main Street Park and Pavilion at 301 Main Street, one block off of Kentlands Boulevard in Kentlands. You’ll find fresh fruit and veggies, coffee, distilled spirits, bread, and baked goods. No artists will be selling at this time.

To help slow the spread of the coronavirus, several important safety measures will be in place. Face masks are required at all times when shopping at our Farmers Markets. Physical distancing is mandatory; stay at least six feet apart from others. Shop only with your eyes and plan ahead to shop quickly. Please limit socializing at the markets and avoid using your phone. Service dogs only; please leave all other pets at home.

Farmers Markets are currently operating with online pre-orders and delivery only. Click here to browse vendor offerings and for directions on how to place an order. Select vendors at both markets will be accepting pre-orders by phone and online so customers can prepay and pick up at the booth.

Gaithersburg’s markets are partners in the Eat Fresh Maryland program, fully committed to increasing access to fresh, local food for Marylanders of all backgrounds and incomes through federal nutrition benefits. Several vendors at both markets accept WIC and the Main Street Farmers Market accepts FVC and FMNP checks. Scenic View Orchard at Casey Market accepts Snap.
