2:00pm - 3:30pm

Chinatown Home: A conversation with Wah Luck House residents about preserving community connections, affordable housing, health and aging, and combating anti-Asian racism during the global pandemic.

In the midst of neighborhood gentrification, D.C.’s Wah Luck House has remained an affordable home and community anchor for generations of Chinatown residents, with ties throughout Montgomery County and the Greater Washington area.

Join us for a wide-ranging discussion about the intersection of health and housing amid the challenges of a global pandemic and rising anti-Asian sentiment and violence.

Panelists will include Wah Luck House residents and representatives from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (from both the Office of Minority Health and the Administration for Community Living), the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and local agencies supporting aging and Asian communities in DC and Montgomery County.
