The Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC) is committed to supporting its community partners, as well as frontline health care professionals in Montgomery County during this time of crisis. A few days ago, the CCACC sent a donation of 1000 surgical masks to Montgomery Hospice, one of our community partners, in an effort to aid its essential workers.

This is the third donation the CCACC has made since the COVID-19 outbreak. Over the past couple of weeks, CCACC has donated 1000 surgical masks to Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center's emergency room, and 1000 surgical masks to Suburban Hospital's emergency room to relieve their shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE). Moreover, the CCACC advocates for Chinese American communities to donate PPE to support local health care professionals.

Established in 1981, Montgomery Hospice has been serving residents of Montgomery County for over 39 years. It is the first independent, homecare/hospice nonprofit organization licensed in Maryland. The wonderful team of professionals and volunteers has provided the best care to our community's multicultural residents who are facing serious illness and loss.

Similarly, the nonprofit organization CCACC has been providing community service to residents of Montgomery County for over 37 years. As one of the most comprehensive Chinese organizations in Montgomery County, CCACC has made it a mission and responsibility to continue supporting local community partners during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Montgomery Hospice expressed great appreciation for CCACC’s donation, saying, “We are so grateful for their generosity and solidarity, and we are proud to be part of this diverse and compassionate community.” Meanwhile, Montgomery Hospice advocates the use of CCACC-PAVHC's COVID-19 hotline, 301-798-6001, which is set up to help answer any questions related to COVID-19

In times of hardship, we discover our strength. Every little bit we can do to help others during this shortage of personal protective equipment can make a difference.
